The Pendulum Book

My debut fiction book, a riveting literary/crime thriller that holds a mirror up to the world. I wrote it as a rallying cry to address some of the issues I was seeing in Australia and abroad currently. It is a strong testament to the power of the individual over rampant government overreach and a salute to those fighting against injustice and tyranny. Now and in the past as it contains many historical parallels and inspiration, as well as biting social commentary and ethical questions for the reader to ponder. Global turmoil marks the start of the twenty-first century. A group of renegades fight to break free from the Australian federation. After a brutal conflict, they form the United Republic of the Southern Continent (U.R.S.C.). Against this backdrop, we meet Ally Rose, a French immigrant and “Facilitator” (freelance mercenary). She and her associate Portia D’Amico, a corrupt detective, are unwittingly caught in a far-reaching conspiracy that forces them to consider every action and decision.

As the conspiracy unravels, Ally and “Osiris,” a fellow Facilitator become involved in a plot to overthrow the increasingly tyrannical Rico dictatorship. If caught, they face the dictator’s wrath and a legal battle. This could have devastating consequences not only for them but for the very future of the United Republic.
